Shincheonji side ☞ Shincheonji practices love and shines the light to the society by having peace movements, creating the Korean flag for the love of this nation, painting walls, helping underprivileged neighbors, and through more various voluntary movements. Also, Shincheonji is enhancing the nation’s pride by spreading the movement of the cessation of war and world peace, a movement that has never been done before, and making Korea a nation of peace.

As light met another light and Shincheonji all joined hands, a sprout emerged.

This sprout became a large tree laden with fruit.

The world now flourishes and produces this fruit of light every month and every year in abundance.

 This is the volunteer work of the eternal inheritance of light.

 

As the largest volunteer organization in the world, Shincheonji has always done the work of volunteerism. Headquarters Shincheonji, in South Korea and our many international branches are actively volunteering around the world. DVDs, video clips, booklets, and pictures of the work accomplished by each branch are sent to headquarters each month. This is volunteerism in its most eternal and unchanging form.

From whom did we learn this work of volunteerism? Shincheonji learned it through the Bible, from Jesus, who was from Nazareth (commoner’s village), and his disciples. They volunteered 2,000 years ago by sacrificing their lives for the sake of all mankind. They did not work for power, money, honor, or their personal ambition. They were the light of the world. They passed away, offering all they had in order to shine the light to a world of darkness.

What's the most valuable culture? "Peace"

"Peace" the most valuable culture we must create

What would be the common culture everyone must pursue today?
I believe it is peace which is the most superordinate concept and universal value that everyone should have. Thus, many people have pursued peace and endeavoured for peace.

However, peace is still far away from us. Peace campaigns paradoxically acknowledge that peace cannot become a reality by some kind of campaign or slogan.
People have overlooked the fact that there is a logical order to accomplish peace as they shout, “Peace! peace!”

Peace can be accomplished when war, which blocks peace, comes to an end. We must find the answer to the reason for war. The answer is religion. What is ironic is the fundamental principle of religion is peace. This tells us that religion has already broken away from its fundamental principle.

Religion strayed from its origin not because it was the will of the lord of religion but because man, who was a created being, became greedy. As a result, the lord of religion left and man pretended like he was the lord of religion. Consequently, instead of achieving peace, which was the fundamental principle of religion, religion caused disputes, quarrels, dissensions and wars as it could be seen today. This situation must be restored.

The way to restoration is to unite the religions because the lord of the religion is one. The only way to restore is through truth. When religions are united through the truth, there will be no more wars and peace will come. This is the order of things and truth itself.

June is the season of verdure!
But we remember June as the month of war and bloodshed.
We remember how too man young people died in the war before they even had a chance to live out their dreams.
They did not even know why they had to die and many had to die in a country that they had never heard of.
This is why people today continue to shout out and say this kind of tragedy should never happen again.

However, there still remains within this nation a reason for another tragic, fratricidal war.
It is very sad.
Although this is the circumstance, we must make a voluntary effort to resolve the problem of reuniting our nation and work at it with perseverance and endurance.
This is because even our allies do not truly desire our nation's reunification.
Of course, the shortcut to voluntary reunification is through the exchange of human, material, and cultural resources.
Based on this exchange, there is a need for a change in the people's consciousness as well as their sense of values.
This kind of change is not brought about by the government but it begins with the future, do not feel the need for reunification, it will become a remote dream.

Throughout the world, there is not a single war where young people are not involved.
Furthermore, if the young people do not feel the need for reunification, it is meaningless.
Understanding these two facts are the key in working towards world peace and reunification.
Let us consider this deeply as we welcome the verdure of June.

Why Jesus said 'Peace is hidden from ... Why?

Why?  Why Jesus said 'Peace is hidden
from  the eyes of the people in Jerusalem

Main references: Lk 19:38-42

2 thousand years ago at the time of the first coming, Jesus stated how peace was hidden from the eyes of the people in Jerusalem. It was hidden from Jerusalem because Satan killed all the spirits of the saints in the Jerusalem temple through the snakes, the Pharisees.

It was also because they did not like the words of peace and Jesus, the messenger of peace. Just as it says, “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men,” world war will only end when religious war—in which people dispute with one another, claiming to be the truth—comes to an end. This is going to happen as the truth overcomes, and religions are unified through the truth.

War will come to an end as Satan, the spirit of wickedness, is seized and locked up. It will be glory to God and peace to men as the God of peace retrieves the world he created and reigns over it. This is how we send away the old and welcome the new. This is truly a good season.


Today the whole world desires peace, and people are helping it to be accomplished. Everyone longs for the culture of heaven, peace, and restoration of light. We have uncovered the shroud that enfolded people, and we are accomplishing world peace.

Today the truth has triumphed over the world. Peace will come to each person as Satan, the dragon, is captured and locked up, and as the God of peace reigns. Peace and restoration for you and me. Let us offer glory to our God.

Remembering "On Peace in the East" for the 60th anniversary of the armistice of Korean War

This is the 60th anniversary of the armistice of Korean War.
It was a fratricidal war, which lasted three years, and ended with an armistice that began on July 27, 1953.
It has already been 60years since then.
In the East, 60 years is considered as one generation passing by.
Unfortunately, Korea remains as the only divided country on the earth.
Now peaceful reunification of Korea is no longer just the issue of Korea but it is the issue for East Asia and furthermore, for the world.

The summits of neighboring countries such as Korea and the U.S., U.S. and China, and Korea and China gathering to discuss the issue of Korea proves it.

About 100 years ago, when the concepts of survival of the fittest and expansionism was popular, Ahn Jung-geun, the freedom fighter of Korean addressed "On Peace in East Asia".

He predicted that Northeast Asia would lead the 21st century and therefore, Korea, China, and Japan must be at peace with one another.
His essay "On Peace in East Asia" which was unfinished due to the imprisonment in Ryojun prison is brought to attention again today by the conscious scholars of Korea, China, and Japan.
Ahn was not only a freedom fighter but also a pacifist who truly fought for peace.
He said his reason for assassinating Ito Hirobumi was not for invading Choseon but for ruining the peace in the East.
This statement proves that he fought for peace.

Korea may seem like a place where there never will be peace, but perhaps this creates a situation for a great twist of events where peace is actually accomplished here in the Korean Peninsula.
Why?
Because although it may seem like peace is something that is accomplished by man, actually, it is the work of God carried out within his providence.
We need to realize that peace has already begun on earth and that peace is covered by the culture of heaven.
