It has been fiver centuries since Martin Luther’s declaration of Ninety-Five Theses, which marked the beginning of The Reformation. Since the medieval age, the Roman Catholic Church reached its peak of authority and corruption, which resulted disagreement and discontent among the royal families and the theologians.
In order to reestablish the original Christian values and to become independent from the Holy See, The protestant reformers such as Martin Luther, John Calvin, and Thomas Cranmer founded their own church. These churches are Lutheran, Presbyterian, and Episcopalian Church of today. The Reformation gave birth to reformed doctrines and ideas, and also brought the Counter-Reformation of the Roman Catholic Church.
Today, the separated churches founded by the early protestant reformers like Martin Luther, are divided into hundreds of denominations. In other words, the Protestant Reformation of the 16th century became a starting point of the multiple denominations of Christianity.
However, these denominations claim that they are the true church, rather than following the original intention of the Reformation. Every year, new denominational are formed, but the churches that were influenced by the Lutheran Reformation, which are traditional denomination label and persecute these new denomination as heresy. It is an irony that these denominations try to justify the Reformation of the 15th century, which became the foundation of their denomination, but at the same time do not accept the new denominations.
If the Reformation was faultless, then the subsequent reformations should not occur. However, there are new reformation appearing even today. A believer must consider the Bible more important than one’s denominations. A true church is where the Bible is testified according to the Bible and one must centralizes his or her faith around the will of God recorded in the Bible.
Is not the church that teaches the word of God according to the Bible a true church? The responsibility of the church is to teach the word of God and make God known among people. As the Word himself was God, the church that the word of God dwells, is the church that fulfills its duty.

Many doctrinal conflicts and reformations existed in the history of Christianity. This is caused by the absence of God’s clear will. Unlike the past individual reformations, the reformation of the 21st century will announce the arrival of the new era, resolve the conflicts of the past era, and unite them in faith. This is the will of God promised in the Bible.
